Clos La Bohème

The estate

Christine Nadalié, an oenologist, bought the land classed as Haut-Médoc from her maternal grandmother at the end of the 1990s, planted it, and made the first Clos La Bohème in 2003; it was recognized as a Cru Bourgeois the first time it was presented, in 2009. The vines stand on Quaternary Garonne gravel at Macau, near the classed growths of La Lagune and Cantemerle, planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Petit Verdot since 2023, and they have been farmed organically since 2011.

The wine spends 24 months in French oak barrels, a long time for a Haut-Médoc, and comes to about 12,000 bottles a year. A second wine, La Petite Bohème, comes from the adjoining place called Nexon and spends 20 months in barrel on its fine lees. With Château Beau Rivage, a Bordeaux Supérieur, the estate makes up Vignobles Christine Nadalié. Clos La Bohème was a Cru Bourgeois in the classification of 2020 and rose to Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in that of 2025.
