Château Lacour Jacquet

The estate

Lacour Jacquet takes its name from the pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela who gathered here, at Cussac-Fort-Médoc, before the 16th century. The family has worked these vines for 3 generations, and since 1989 Régis and Éric Lartigue have run the estate.

They have 16 hectares in the Haut-Médoc and 2 in Bordeaux, on gravel and pebbles, planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, with grass and ploughing between the rows; the estate is certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (High Environmental Value, the French state’s environmental certification for farms) at level 3. The grapes are picked selectively by hand and macerate for 21 to 28 days, and the wine ages 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels, 1 third of them renewed each year, before it is bottled at the property. It was a Cru Bourgeois in the classifications of 2020 and 2025.
