The estate
Greysac stands on the bank of the Gironde at By, in the commune of Bégadan, and its château dates from the 18th century. Domaines Rollan de By bought it at the end of 2012, together with Château de By and Château du Monthil, a purchase that took the group to 185 hectares.
The vines grow on Quaternary rolled pebbles over limestone and clay, and the red is 65% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot; there is a white as well, Château Greysac Blanc. The Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Médoc classed Greysac Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 2020 and again in 2025.
