The estate
The estate began at Civrac-en-Médoc in 1978, and its crop was made into wine at the cooperative until 2011, when Raphael Fructuoso bought the family property and began making the wine himself. It is a small holding of about 17.5 hectares on clay and limestone, planted mainly to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (High Environmental Value, the French state’s environmental certification for farms) (the French state’s environmental certification for farms) at level 3, and it makes a red Médoc, a white and a rosé. L’Évasion is a Cru Artisan du Médoc in the classification for the vintages 2022 to 2026.
