The estate

In May 2008 Antoine Médeville, Edouard Massie and Henri Boyer, 3 consulting oenologists who had spent 20 years advising growers, crossed to the other side of the fence and became owners, buying a vineyard of 15 hectares at Saint-Yzans-de-Médoc; Emilien Delalande and Thomas Marquant joined them later. 3 quarters of the vineyard is clay and limestone and the rest gravel and sand. The soils have been fully worked since 2012, and the estate took Terra Vitis in 2015, AREA in 2016 and Haute Valeur Environnementale (High Environmental Value, the French state’s environmental certification for farms) at level 3 in 2019.

The grand vin (the estate’s first wine) is 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. Villa Carmin, 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, is aged entirely in barrel, and Le Jardin de Fleur la Mothe, 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, is aged for 1 year. Fleur La Mothe was a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in the classification of 2020 and again in 2025.
