Red Pessac-Léognan second wines will be presented at the Foire aux Seconds Vins at Hangar 14 in Bordeaux on October 10, including Château Tour Léognan 2023 from Château Carbonnieux.

Aurélien Valance to lead Château Margaux

Philippe Bascaules will retire at the end of 2026 after three decades at Château Margaux. Deputy managing director Aurélien Valance will succeed him as head of the estate on December 1.

A leadership transition at a First Growth is consequential for collectors and the trade, particularly when the successor is already part of the estate's senior management.
