Chateau Troplong-Mondot began picking red grapes on Aug. 19 in Saint-Emilion, 9 days earlier than its 2025 harvest and the earliest red harvest date recorded at the estate.

Value sales of Bordeaux reds down 19% amid shifting consumption

According to Nomisma Wine Monitor, value sales of Bordeaux red wine fell 19% in the first quarter, while volumes declined 8% and the average value per unit shipped dropped about 12%.

A friend's Facebook video brings nearly €4,000 to a Bordeaux winegrower after a fire destroyed his home

Jean-Denis Bibian, a Bordeaux winegrower whose family home was destroyed in the Saumos fire, received nearly €4,000 in wine orders after a friend posted a Facebook video. Around 100 people across France ordered bottles from him.
