On March 24, 2026, Bordeaux estate Château Puybarbe began real-time monitoring with hyperspectral satellites in collaboration with Kuva Space to detect vine stress before it becomes visible. The organic estate aims to improve vineyard management and adapt to climate challenges.

Château in Bordeaux Tests New Affordable Satellite Technology

In Bordeaux, Château Puybarbe is testing new, lower-cost satellite technology with Kuva Space to monitor vine health in real time. Hyperspectral imaging can detect early signs of stress from fungal pressure, insects, and changes in water or nutrient balance before they are visible in the vineyard.
