Château Rol Valentin

The estate

Rol Valentin is a family estate: Alexandra and Nicolas Robin bought it in 2009. Its 7.30 hectares are in 2 pieces, each in 1 block, less than 7 kilometers apart, in the continuation of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru plateau: old sand over clay in the one, clay and limestone on the slopes and plateau in the other. The vines are 78% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 7% Malbec, 40 years old on average.

In 2019 the family opened a new winery at Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, 8 kilometers from the town of Saint-Émilion, with 500 square meters for making the wine and 200 for receiving visitors. The list approved in September 2022 made Rol Valentin a Grand Cru Classé, its first rank.
