The estate
Château de Valois has been a vineyard since 1862. It belongs to EARL Vignobles Leydet, which also works it, and Frédéric Leydet is in charge. The 7.78 hectares are planted 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the wine ages 20 months in all, and the estate makes about 45,000 bottles a year. The Leydets committed their vines to organic farming on September 4, 2012, under the certification of Ecocert, and have farmed that way since.
