Cap Léon Veyrin is 2 properties joined into 1, Château Cap Léon and the domaine of Veyrin, and it has been a family property since 1810. Cap means head, and the vineyard sits on high ground in Listrac-Médoc. Nathalie and Julien Meyre are the 6th generation, and the family’s Vignobles Meyre also make Château Bibian and Château Julien. The estate was a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in the classification of 2020 and is not in the list of 2025.

The 15 hectares lie on gravelly marl and on clay and limestone north of the commune of Listrac, planted 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, 40 years old on average. The crop is picked partly by hand and partly by machine, sorted on a table, destemmed and crushed, and fermented in stainless steel vats; the wine spends 12 months in oak barrels, 60% new, is fined with egg white and is bottled at the estate. The Michel Rolland laboratory is the oenologist. The estate makes 80,000 bottles, and a second wine, Les Hauts de Veyrin.
