Château Beauregard 2006, Pomerol

Château Beauregard sits on the southeastern plateau of Pomerol, where gravel overlays clay, a combination that tends to produce wines with both structure and approachability. The estate has undergone a quiet but meaningful evolution over the past decade, with increased precision in both vineyard management and winemaking elevating its position within the appellation.

The 2006 vintage on the Right Bank followed the powerful 2005 with a more classical profile. In Pomerol, it produced wines with firm structure, fresh acidity, and a more restrained expression, often requiring time to fully come together.

Served here in a 3 liter Double Magnum, the format adds another dimension. Larger bottles age more slowly due to a lower oxygen to wine ratio, often preserving freshness and extending the evolution.
