Château Pédesclaux 2015, Pauillac

Château Pédesclaux has undergone one of the quiet transformations of modern Pauillac. Acquired by the Lorenzetti family in 2009, the estate invested heavily in vineyard precision and a striking gravity fed winery designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, signaling a clear ambition to elevate both identity and consistency within the 1855 Fifth Growth framework.

The 2015 vintage played directly to Pauillac’s strengths. A warm growing season produced ripe Cabernet Sauvignon with depth and polish, while retaining the appellation’s signature structure. Pédesclaux captured that balance well, offering dark cassis, graphite, and cedar notes carried by firm but refined tannins. With nearly a decade in bottle, the wine is entering a confident phase where fruit, oak, and structure are beginning to align.
