Château Pedesclaux Pauillac 2005: As expected from this vintage, it’s aging very slowly, but this bottle was a pleasure to taste! The nose was complex, with black currant, mint, tobacco, and cigar box. On the palate, it showed vibrant acidity, a balanced mouthfeel, and persistent tannins. The finish was long and savory, with vivid fruit still present.

We compared it to Clos De L’Oratoire 2000, which was more evolved and savory, yet still delicious to drink. Both were great finds, with Pedesclaux showing more youthful vibrancy.
