CLOS DE L’ORATOIRE, Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé 2000

The year 2000 was a stellar vintage for Bordeaux reds, though challenging for the sweet wines of Sauternes. Clos d’Oratoire’s 2000 is a prime example of Saint Emilion at its best. With aromas of toffee, dried fruit, and ripe plums, this wine is both inviting and complex. The 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc blend delivers a beautifully integrated experience, with medium acidity and a garnet color that hints at its age. No fining or filtering was used. This bottle had everyone talking.
