Château Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Médoc 1998

Vibrant color, rich aromas, and a great taste of black fruits, cassis, and hints of coffee and chocolate. Tannins still present and so well integrated. It is still drinking beautifully after 26 years. Bordeaux always rewards those who wait. Loved every sip! This is an estate that has been flying under the radar for many years to the general population, but it’s become a sort of a cult wine in certain circles. Younger vintages are also highly recommended. Tasted in February 2024 by Château Sociando-Mallet
