Château Marojallia 2008 (Margaux)

Marojallia is one of the Médoc’s true modern rebels. Created in 1998/1999, guided early on by Michel Rolland, and vinified in small lots in a very un-Margaux, almost “garage wine” style, it shook things up in a commune known for delicacy and perfume.

2008 gave fresh, classically shaped Cabernet. Marojallia took that structure and wrapped it in ripe fruit and polished tannins, resulting in a wine that sits at the intersection of Margaux charm and modern richness.

It’s a fascinating study in how an outsider estate can bend Margaux in a slightly different direction while still honoring its core identity.
