Château La Louvière 2008, Pessac-Léognan (Rouge)

La Louvière belongs to the André Lurton family; its striking neoclassical château was designed in the late 1700s by François Lhôte, a student of the famed architect Victor Louis. 2008 is a cooler, classical year: bright fruit, tobacco-cedar notes, and fresh lines that suit Graves reds well.

We tasted this wine at the château earlier this year during a memorable lunch offered to wine professionals. Great memories!
