Château Plain-Point 2019, Bordeaux Blanc

Château Plain-Point is in the midst of a bold transformation under its owner, Shi Yuzhu, who acquired the estate in 2013 and has since overseen major renovation and expansion.

The property now spans ~100 hectares, including vineyards, forests, ponds, and natural terrain. In 2023, the estate commissioned a new, architect-designed winery (by Olivier Chadebost) built with gravity-flow features and multiple fermentation materials for parcel-level precision.

The 2019 vintage marks their first white wine release, made from Sauvignon Blanc + Sémillon, as part of their expanding portfolio. It delivers fresh citrus, orchard fruit, and elegant balance.

From my visit on site, I can also confirm that ongoing work is transforming the estate into a visitor destination, with hospitality amenities.
