It was great to discover how Claire and Gonzague Lurton are implementing biodynamic practices and sustainability initiatives at their exceptional Bordeaux estates. Maintaining consistent excellence year after year while working with Mother Nature’s whims is challenging, yet they’ve certainly achieved their vision. The Margaux wines showed their characteristic fine, silky tannins, while Haut-Bages Libéral from Pauillac had the bold, firm tannins that define this terroir. Thank you Caroline Virassack for guiding us through this masterclass.

My personal favorite was Château La Gurgue 2016.
