Château La Gomerie 2006, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

La Gomerie was a tiny (about 2.5-2.7 ha) 100% Merlot vineyard owned by the Bécot family. A true “micro-cuvée.” The vines were later absorbed into Beau-Séjour Bécot, making bottles like 2006 part of a short, collectible run.

2006 is a classic, firmer Right Bank year, with ripe Merlot framed by fresh tannin, built to age. We tasted this bottle in magnum and it was terrific.
