Château Kirwan 1996, Margaux

Kirwan has a long history, but the modern renaissance started when the Schÿler family took ownership. Their merchant background opened the château to the world, and Kirwan became one of the earliest Bordeaux estates to champion global tastings and cultural exchanges.

1996 was a Cabernet-driven vintage in the Médoc, and in Margaux it produced wines with energy, structure, and lifted aromatics. Kirwan from this year shows that classic Margaux signature: violets, graphite, and a graceful frame that has aged with real refinement.
