CHÂTEAU COUFRAN, Haut Médoc 2010

Often nicknamed the “Pomerol of the Médoc” due to its high percentage of Merlot in a place well known for Cabernet Sauvignon, Château Coufran’s 2010 vintage is a hidden gem. The wine is full-bodied with high acidity, flavors of plums, figs, and concentrated dried fruit. The color is starting to show its age, but still has plenty of life left. And for the price, it’s an incredible value. This wine proves you don’t need to break the bank to enjoy great Bordeaux.
