Château Clerc Milon 1983, Pauillac

Clerc Milon, now part of the Rothschild family estates, lies between Mouton and Lafite in Pauillac. Since 1983, its labels have carried the famous “two dancers,” taken from an 18th-century German design in the Mouton museum collection.

The 1983 vintage followed the legendary 1982 and was more variable, but Pauillac delivered structured Cabernet-driven wines with cedar and graphite character. Clerc Milon 1983 shows the elegance of a well-sited Fifth Growth in maturity.
