The third day shifted back to the Left Bank, starting with private tastings at Château Pichon Baron and Cos d’Estournel. Cos stood out immediately. Even at this early stage, the 2025 shows remarkable precision and depth, a wine that will develop into a clear winner.

From there, a visit and lunch at Château Lynch Bages, where a broader range of Pauillac wines reinforced the appellation’s consistency in this vintage. There is a clarity of structure here that is becoming a recurring theme across the best estates.

The day concluded at Domaine de Chevalier in Pessac Léognan, one of the most beautiful settings of the week. The tasting extended across the appellation and into Sauternes. The whites and sweet wines added a different dimension, where freshness and balance again played a central role.
