2015 was an outstanding vintage that produced powerful and age-worthy wines with a dense concentration of ripe fruit. Chateau Haut Brion 2015 was one of the top wines of the vintage. This is the second time I am tasting this wine, and it is evolving nicely. It has a firm texture, powerful tannins, and a dense concentration of cassis and black plum, complemented by complex notes of tobacco and cedar. The finish is very long. The blend comprises 50% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Cabernet Franc. Excellent.
