The estate

The place has a longer record than the wine. Édouard Féret, in Les vins de l’arrondissement de Libourne of 1897, lists a holding at Pas-Saint-Georges, in the commune of Saint-Georges, under Ader among the crus artisans and paysans, at 30 tonneaux (the old Bordeaux measure of a crop, 900 liters, or 4 barrels), and the edition of 1922 of Bordeaux et ses vins has it under Moureau. Today Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges is 1 of the wines of Château La Fleur de Boüard, the Lalande-de-Pomerol estate that Hubert de Boüard, co-owner of Château Angélus, bought in 1998. The vines lie in 1 block on a hillside facing south and southeast, on clay and limestone: molasse over a bed of clay and Périgord sand.

The 2022 was picked from September 12 to 23, at 40 hectoliters a hectare, fermented in small stainless steel tanks, put through its malolactic in barrel and in tank on the lees, and aged 16 months, 50% in new French oak and 50% in stainless steel. It is a blend of 66% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 5.5% Petit Verdot, 4.5% Carmenère, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec, and it made 65,000 bottles.
