Duclot

The house

Duclot was established in 1886. The Moueix family, whose merchant house in Libourne sold the wines of the Right Bank, bought it in 1956 to trade in the Left Bank too, the Médoc and the Graves, and to sell direct to private customers in France. Since then 3 generations of the family have owned it, through Videlot, the Moueix family company led by Jean Moueix, which also owns Petrus, in Pomerol. Jean-François Moueix chairs the house, and his son Jean has been its managing director since 2019.

The house grew by gathering the family’s trading companies. In December 2001 Moueix Export, Bordeaux Millésimes and SA Vinicole Française were merged into it, and in 2009 the shop L’Intendant became a company of its own. Videlot took the chair in April 2012, and that month the head office moved from Bordeaux to Paris. In June 2012 Videlot (비드라트) filed the mark Bordeaux Collection by Duclot in Korea. The company took the name Duclot in 2015 and absorbed Duclot Particuliers, and in 2022 it merged with VSS.

Duclot sells about 500 Bordeaux châteaux in some 100 vintages, to importers abroad, to restaurants and shops, and online. It employs about 180 people, 80 of them in sales, and besides its roots in Bordeaux it has offices in Nice, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore and Thailand. In France it also trades as Duclot La Vinicole, whose 14th Carte sur Table ran from March 15 to April 15, 2026 in about 40 restaurants. Since 2012 Videlot has also been a partner at Château Calon Ségur, with Suravenir, the life insurer of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa.
