Our co-editor is reading about the history of all the chateaux he will visit in April during the En Primeurs. Exactly 2 months to go, but who’s counting, right? ;-)

“Bordeaux and Its Wines Classed by Order of Merit,” by Charles Cocks is a classic. The 1st edition was published in 1846, 9 years before the Classification of 1855. This 2nd edition, revised by Edouard Feret in 1883, became the go-to encyclopedia on Bordeaux wines for generations.
