Château Batailley 2005

Named after a battle fought on its grounds in 1453 during the Hundred Years’ War, Batailley is a Pauillac estate with both history and consistency. It is known for its solid, classically structured wines that age gracefully.

2005 ranks among the greatest vintages of the 21st century, and Batailley captured its power. Dark fruit, cedar, herbs, plums and dried fruit dominate, wrapped in ripe tannins. It tastes younger than it is. 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.
