The 2025 shows perfumed aromatics, remarkable freshness, and a level of precision that feels both inviting and complete. There is density here, but it is carried with finesse, the texture creamy and velvety, the finish long and expansive. It is a wine of elegance and power at the same time, and a serious candidate for wine of the vintage.

Later in the day, the UGCB tastings at Château Cantemerle and Château Léoville Barton offered a broader perspective across the Left Bank. Saint Julien continues to emerge as one of the strongest appellations of the vintage, showing consistency, structure, and clarity, perhaps just behind Pomerol at this stage.
